Preparation

  1. Put the lamb into a large pan. Pour over the stock.
  2. Boil the liquid, then reduce the heat.
  3. Simmer for one hour.
  4. Add the chopped vegetables and cook for one hour.
  5. Cover and cool overnight.
  6. Boil the cawl for 15 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with bread and cheese.
