Work in pairs. What are buildings made of, and what do they look like? Make a list of words you could use to describe an old building and a modern building.

Spoiler alert! You have different information from your partner. Don’t share it until you are told to. Don’t look at your partner’s information – that’s cheating (and boring)!

Person A

  1. Write a description of this building in Minneapolis, USA.
  2. Add two details that are wrong.
  3. Show the picture and your description to your partner. Can s/he spot the mistakes?
  4. Ask you partner if s/he likes the building and why, or why not.
