Work in pairs. Write a short description of what you can see in this picture. How old is the building, and what is it? What are the door and the building made of? What do you think is behind the door?
Spoiler alert! You have different information from your partner. Don’t share it until you are told to. Don’t look at your partner’s information – that’s cheating (and boring)!
This is what you see when you open the door. Who is this? How long has this been here? What does the picture make you feel?
Write a paragraph describing the first picture and the second picture. Say what kind of atmosphere they have, and what people might think when they see them. Read this to your partner when you have finished.
